FREE DISNEY
TICKETS & MORE BARGAINS!
A FREE DAY AT DISNEY FOR YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY?
It’s possible. This year Disney Parks are giving a FREE 1-DAY pass in
exchange for one day of volunteer work with specific organizations. And
since volunteers for some of these opportunities can be as young as age 10
if accompanied by an adult, this means if your kids are 10 or older, you can
all earn a free 1-day pass. If you find an opportunity for kids as young as
age 6, Disney will supply vouchers for up to 8 family members, ages 6 and
above as long as all of you participate in the volunteer day.
To find out how, go to
www.DisneyParks.com
and click on the START HERE button on the GIVE A DAY, GET A DISNEY
DAY banner on the lower right of the screen. Follow the instructions,
input your zip code and see what opportunities are available – when I put my
zip code in, it listed 71 opportunities in my area. Choose where you’d like to volunteer, fulfill your
commitment and receive your voucher.

1-DISH MEXICAN DINNER
Here's a full meal in one easy
dish. This is what you'll need:
1 ½ lbs. of ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning
24-30 oz. of salsa
½ c. chopped green onions
1 c. crushed tortilla
chips
3/4 c. shredded Mexican
blend cheese
1 lb. macaroni noodles
Preheat the oven to
350°;
spray a 9X13 pan with nonstick cooking spray. Brown the meat and drain;
boil the noodles and drain. Blend together the meat, seasoning, noodles,
salsa, and half the onions and chips. Spread into the prepared pan and top
with remaining onions and chips, plus the cheese. Bake for about 30
minutes or until bubbly. (Note: Ground turkey or ground chicken is
generally less expensive than ground beef and works just as well in most
recipes, so you might want to substitute chicken or turkey for the beef in this
recipe.) Try serving this over a bed of shredded lettuce to add a little
healthy and tasty greenery. |

TAKE
THE TIME TO CONSIGN
Too
time-stressed for a yard sale and yet you have a ton of stuff you need to get
rid of? I don't know about you, but I can always use a few extra
dollars. That's why my surplus clothing and everything else possible
goes to consignment shops first; whatever doesn't sell I donate to a local charity's thrift store.
If
you're new at consigning, there are several things you need to know:
(1) The better area of town, the more your
items are likely to sell for. But by
the same token, the better the quality of your merchandise is expected to
be. (2) Most shops consign specific
items only, such as women's clothing,
children's, or furniture. You need to know what sort of shops are in your
area. Check the phone book,
www.YP.com and www.WhitePages.com.
(3) Make sure what you're taking is "in
season." The majority of consigners
will not take out-of-season clothing.
(4) Be certain your articles are clean, on hangers (in most cases), and
either reasonably fashionable or old enough to qualify as "vintage"
-- most want take your grandma's polyester double knits!
(5) Call before you go.
Many shops accept items by appointment only and only on certain days of the
week. Too, they usually limit how many pieces they will accept from one
seller. Don't forget consignment shops are also great places to buy quality
used and new clothing and more.

THIS
MONTH'S PASSAGE
“I will go before you and
make the rough places smooth...” (Isaiah 45:2, NASB).
Are
you experiencing your own
“rough place?”
Want to know how God makes those “...rough places
smooth...”? By giving you the peace you need to cope with your
present situation. By causing a change in whatever is happening. By healing – sometimes in this life and sometimes in the form of eternal
healing.
And He oftentimes does it by making the greatest change INSIDE you as
He teaches you to lean on Him and stop worrying about the things of the past,
present, or future. And the greatest change of all He does by sending His Holy Spirit to indwell and
constantly comfort the tuned-in believer.
