Who Am I? First and foremost, I'm a believer in Jesus Christ. I was born in Birmingham, Alabama and have spent my life in and around the Birmingham area. My husband Larry and I are active members of First Baptist Church of Gardendale, Alabama, and we have been married for 40 years. In December of 2000 I graduated from the Women's Ministry Certificate Program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. (And no, Southern Baptists aren't putting women in the pulpit. This training helps women meet the needs of women within their churches. Please check out NOBTS's website and see how very possible their Women's Ministry program is for YOU!) My Bargainomics teachings were the basis for my radio program, "The Bible and Bargainomics," which aired for two years on 93.7-FM WDJC Christian radio in Birmingham. The radio show led to a regular guest spot on WAKA-TV midday news in Montgomery. Currently, my television work is on the Fox network - Good Day Alabama and the noonday news, both of which are broadcast in Birmingham and to most of the other Fox stations in Alabama. I also make guest appearances such as a recent one on the internationally acclaimed Babbie's House. I spend a lot of my time speaking to church and civic groups, and would love the opportunity to share Bargainomics with your group -- get the details on the Contact Judy page. My other calling is as a freelance writer. I'm a columnist for www.Examiner.com and www.TravelinTales.com, and for the following editions of Christian Family Magazine: Bay, Coastal, Bossier City/Shreveport, Wiregrass, Tennessee Valley, Tuscaloosa and Atlanta.
